Pahne Parvaz News platform is dedicated to sharing the stories of individuals who transform limitations into opportunities to soar. Today, we are honored to host Nura Shikin Iqbal, known as Kimi Black, from Malaysia. A lady who has not only overcome physical challenges but has also inspired millions through her remarkable achievements. From a beauty queen to an advocate for disability rights and a singer with a soulful voice, she stands as a symbol of hope and determination.
Pahne Parvaz: Kimi, please tell us about the beginning of this incredible journey. What led you to embark on this path?
Kimi Black: My journey began in 2008 after a car accident that changed my life forever. I became paralyzed from the waist down, but this wasn’t the end of my life—it was the beginning of a new chapter. In those challenging moments, I decided to turn this obstacle into an opportunity for growth.
Pahne Parvaz: You have achieved remarkable success in various fields. What motivated you to venture into beauty pageants and music?
Kimi Black: I’ve always believed that beauty and art possess a power that transcends physical limitations. In 2018, I decided to participate in the Miss Wheelchair Malaysia pageant to show others that beauty is more than skin deep. Winning that competition was a way for me to inspire others. Music, on the other hand, is my way of sharing my story. My song “A Million Stars” is one of those heartfelt narratives that comes straight from my soul.
Pahne Parvaz: As an advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, what drew you to this cause?
Kimi Black: When I faced societal prejudices and challenges, I realized that many others with disabilities encounter similar barriers. My mission is to break those barriers and raise public awareness. I want the world to know that people with disabilities possess extraordinary abilities—they just need equal opportunities to shine.
Pahne Parvaz: Could you tell us about your accomplishments that have been recognized in various record books?
Kimi Black: Each achievement is a testament to breaking boundaries. From earning the title of Saree Icon Malaysia to representing my country in the global Miss Wheelchair World competition, every step has been a message to everyone: nothing can stop you from reaching your dreams unless you let it.
Pahne Parvaz: What is your message to those facing similar challenges?
Kimi Black: Believe that no limitation can define your worth. Life is full of opportunities, and if you face them with courage and determination, you can move mountains.
PahneParvaz: Finally, our platform aims to introduce role models like you. What message do you have for us and our audience?
Kimi Black: What you are doing is incredibly valuable because it brings stories like mine to the world’s attention. These stories are bridges between people with disabilities and society, paving the way for a more inclusive world. Thank you for making me a part of this journey.
Pahne Parvaz Press takes pride in spreading light and hope to those who may doubt their own path. Kimi Black’s story shows us all that even with broken wings, we can still soar—if only we believe.
